Leo Special Olympics
Special Olympics is the largest global organization that serves kids and elders with intellectual disabilities working with hundreds of thousands of volunteers and coaches each year. Since the establishment of Special Olympics in 1968, the number of people with and without intellectual disabilities who are involved with the the organization has been growing. Special Olympics Serendib (Sri Lanka) is recognized as a Founding A committee which means a group of people who join together and apply to Special Olympics International to get recognition and the right to use the name "Special Olympics" with the ultimate goal of being accredited as a Program. World Special Olympics Organization is such an institute formed for these disabilities to light up their lives through sports. Its Sri Lanka branch is Special Olympics Serendib.
