PRANAAMA PHASE II

This is a Little Story; There was this old woman with wrinkled skin, white hair, and dull face, looking at me, smiling. I approached her, asked her how she was. She didn't reply. Instead, she kept looking at me, tears pouring down her eyes. Finally, she managed to mutter some words. She said, "Today is a special day for me. Two years ago, on a day like this, my child abandoned me in this elders' home". I was speechless!!! This is the untold story of most of the mothers and fathers live in elder’s homes.

Pranama is a work of philanthropy carried out by the Leo Club of Nawala Metro in helping out the poor souls who spend their last days in the elders’ home at Mawpiya Upahara Elders Home Makumbura, Pannipitiya. As the second step of project Pranaama we decided to take all the old parents out to release them from their conventional prison homes.
