There is one bitter truth. That is, we all die one day…

And on that day, if we can help someone else lives, then with the stop of the beat of our heart, another heart may start to beat again.

Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society invites citizens to register with them to donate our eyes and also other parts of the body after our death, so that they can transfer those parts to respective people with necessities. Most of the people who like to donate, are not aware of such a place and the procedure to do so. Hence, we thought of educating the crowd and encouraging them to engage in such valuable and meritorious work.

On Poya Days, we arrange this activity in a chosen temple. This time, we chose Vidyalankara Pirivena Pannipitiya. With the registration forms taken from the Eye Donation Society, we register the donors at the same place, hence obviating the need for them to visit the Eye Donation Society specifically. In that way, we collect a lot of registration forms. Someday, somewhere in the world, a dying heart will beat again, from what we have done today.

When one rests in peace, another will smile with ease…
